Hi Everyone,
Welcome to the beginning of a new week.
Hi Everyone,
Welcome to the beginning of a new week.
I would like to thank everyone for the birthday gifts, cards, and treats on Friday. I really appreciate the warm wishes.
Happy Monday Everyone,
I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend.
Students are bringing home their Home-to-School Folders today. The folder is red and students should have it either in their trapper or backpack. This folder will come home on the first day of the school week. Inside the folder you will find graded work. The papers are yours to keep unless your child needs to complete a grade recovery activity. Grade recovery is a process where students can recover points missed on assessments. For math and science the points recovered should bring their score up to a passing grade. Grade recovery happens when a student earns a grade of 69 and below. The directions for the recovery will be stapled to the assignment. Students are allowed to use their math and science journals and science book while completing the work.. Once students complete the work they bring it back to school and turn it to the designated basket in their classroom. Once I regrade it, the score will be updated in Focus. The red folder should come back to school as soon as possible so that work for the next week can be added.

A parent asked me about the standards in an email so I thought that I would share with everyone, The 4th grade standards can be accessed by visiting: http://www.fldoe.org/academics/standards/subject-areas/math-science/mathematics. On the site you can visit a parent section. The teacher version of the standards can be found at: http://www.fldoe.org/core/fileparse.php/12087/urlt/G4_Mathematics_Florida_Standards.pdf
