Week of May 31, 2021

Happy Last Week of School Everyone,

I hope everyone had a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend. I would like to personally thank anyone that is a Veteran. I am truly thankful and humbled by your service.

As I am sure everyone knows, this is our last week of school!! This has been the most different school year that I have had in my 24 years as an educator. Tied with spending the end of last school year completely virtual. I didn't think we would make it the entire year face to face, but I am very glad that we made it. Teaching in a mask is better than teaching on the computer!!
Thank you so much for all of your patience and support as we built the plane while we were flying it. We couldn't have made it with out you.

During our final few days together we have some fun activities planned. On Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday students are invited to bring in a board game. Students will be able to play games in the morning and we will watch movies and have snacks in the afternoon. We have our final ticket cash in on Wednesday.

Summer Practice
As much as we are all looking forward to summer break. There are a few things that students can do during summer that will help them ease back in to the school year this fall.
i-Ready- Students can continue to work on their learning path until the end of July
Freckle- Students can continue to practice different domains and facts until the end of July
Prodigy- I will assign 5th grade skills to allow students to become familiar with some of the skills they will work in 5th grade. If they have completed the placement test, the program will also give them questions at their level so that they can practice their math.
