     We had a successful first two days of our Safari of Learning. This will be our first full week of school.

    We will begin homework this week. Students will copy down their homework in their Agendas. Each nights homework is due the next day unless otherwise stated. Students receive credit for completing their homework and returning it. They are not penalized for incorrect answers. They are also not penalized for assignments being turned in late as long the assignment is turned by the end of the week.

Science: Complete pages 14, 15, and 16 in science book.​

     This week in math we will be working on the following standards:

*4.NBT.1.1 Read and write multi-digit whole numbers using base-ten numerals, number names, and expanded form. Compare two multi-digit numbers based on meanings of the digits in each place, using >, =, and < symbols to record the results of comparisons.

  *4.NBT.1.3 Use place value understanding to round multi-digit whole numbers to any        place. 

     The work that we will complete this week will be similar to work students completed in 3rd grade. We will expand their knowledge by moving our numbers to the millions place. 

     This week in science we will begin working on Unit 1 Lesson 1. In this lesson we will learn what science is and how scientists do their jobs.
