The Latest Buzz for the Week of March 10th

A big THANK YOU to all those that attended JBE’s Fifth Annual Family Science Night. A good time was had by all. Homework passes are coming I have not yet received the sign in sheets but when I do those students that attended will receive a free night of no homework.
As you know we will begin FCAT testing on tomorrow morning. The testing schedule we will follow this week is listed below.

Day 1 – March 11th SSS Reading – Session 1 60 minutes

Day 2 – March 12th SSS Reading – Session 2 60 minutes

Day 3 – March 13th SSS Math – Session 3 60 minutes and SSS Math – Session 4 60 minutes

Day 4 – March 14th NRT Reading – Session 1 80 minutes

Day 5 – March 17th NRT Math Session 2 70 minutes

Students do not have homework this week. Instead I would like for them to relax as much as possible, go outside and play, spend time doing things that they enjoy. It is also extremely important for students to get a good night sleep and to eat a good breakfast.

I would also like to thank everyone for being so willing to provide snacks for the students this week. Below is the snack schedule that we will use doing testing. If your child has allergies you may want to send in a separate snack for them to enjoy.
Day Snack Drink
March 11th The Routzong’s The Hu’s
March 12th The Langham’s The Johnson’s
March 13th The Silva’s The Silva’s
March 14th The Johnston’s The Shi’s

Instead of having parents sign up for snacks for Monday March 17th, I would like to invite students to bring in their favorite green snacks. Things like green grapes, green jello, granny smith apples etc. The snack should be enough to share with the entire class. In this way we can not only recognize St. Patricks day but we can also celebrate the end of FCAT testing.
