Students will begin presenting their Genius Hour projects on Tuesday this week. We will continue with presentations every Tuesday until everyone has had a turn. You can help your child prepare by letting them present their project to you. Be an audience for them. Ask them questions about their topic. And give them overall freed back on the information in their presentation as well as how the did as a presenter.

This week in math, we will finish up our unit on decimals. Students will take their test on Tuesday. On Wednesday and Thursday students will complete a performance task on decimals. Next week we will begin reviewing for the FSA.

     Fraction Choice Board is due

This week in science we will finish up our unit on space. Students will take their test on Thursday. Our next unit will be on plants and animals.

For the rest of year our social studies assignments will skip around. We wanted to make sure that we covered important events like World War 1, World War 2, Civil Rights and the Great Depression. So we will only have sheets that correspond to those lessons. Students should make sure they look at the top right hand corner of the sheet to see which chapter and lesson they should turn to in their books.

Have an Egg-cellent Week,
Ms. Johnson
