Week of April 8, 2019

Happy Monday Everyone,

     I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. With the weather getting nicer and nicer it is getting more and more difficult to focus on school. However we must stay focused so that we can finish just as strongly as we started. 


     I would like to thank everyone that volunteered for our field trip to the zoo. We had a wonderful day thanks in part to you.

Friday “Purple Up Day” Everyone wears purple."
Poster Contest: Create a poster to show your support to our military students. The posters should reflect how “Military Children Serve Too”! All posters must be turned in to Mrs. Lumpkin by Thursday, April 11, 2019. The winners will receive a prize and be announced April 12, 2019.

     This week in math we will complete our decimal unit. Students will learn how to add and subtract decimals, learn how coins represent fractional parts of a dollar, and solve word problems by applying their knowledge of decimals. We will take our test next week. 


       This week in science we will learn about the phases of moon. Students will learn what causes the appearance of moon to change. Students will also learn the order and names of the moon phases. 


     This week in social studies, students will complete chapter 7. Students have two sheets to complete this week for homework.
