Week of September 12th

 


Happy Monday Everyone,

     I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. And is ready to start a fabulous new week. I would like to thank everyone that was able to come to Open House on last Thursday evening. 
     
     The Ultra representative from the District will be here on Friday to do our first activity. Students will learn about the program and complete a short survey.

     This week in math we will finish our work in Unit 3. On this Friday we will take a test on Units 2 and 3. Students will complete a study guide in class this week that they will bring home to use to study. 
     On Monday we will take our FAST test for math. It will be similar to the FAST test for reading in that it will be taken on the computer. For the math test students will be allowed to have scratch paper and will access to a measurement conversion chart and be allowed to have scratch paper.

    This week in science, we will begin our study of matter. In this unit we will expand students' understanding of the states of matter by focusing on the way the molecules behave in each state. We will also study the physical properties that describe each state, how water behaves in each state, the law of conservation of mass, and spend time focused on the property of magnetism.

Science: Florida Science: Digital Lesson for Unit 5 Lesson 1 What Are Physical Properties of Matter

Tuesday: Math: Lesson 3-5 Worksheet

Wednesday: Science: Pages 30, 31, 32, and 33 in the pink book.

Thursday: Math: Study for Units 2 and 3 Test
