As you know, from Ms. Mattingly's email last week all school and classroom libraries cannot be accessed by students for the time being. All books must be screened and approved by a media specialist. Until that time students will not be allowed to borrow books from the JBE library or from the classroom libraries in mine or Mrs. Lomblo's classrooms. Students may bring in books from home to read while at school. While at school, students are not allowed to borrow or share books with each other. Hopefully the screening process will be quick and we can get back to reading and sharing our favorite books soon. Thank you for your support through this process.

Unit 12 Math Test
This week in math we will begin work on unit 11. In this unit, Multiply Fractions and Whole Numbers,
your child will learn how to use different strategies to
multiply fractions and whole numbers and use the
results to solve problems.
This week in science, we will finish up our discussion of weathering and erosion. We will begin working on mineral identification. Students will learn about the characteristics of minerals that scientist use to tell one mineral from another.
For this quarters science extra credit, students can bring in a rock/mineral or a book on rocks and minerals. They must present to the class and their classmates will ask them questions. On Friday of this week we will begin to study about the classification of rocks.
