I hope everyone had a wonderful spring break vacation. We will end the third nine weeks this week. The last day of the quarter is this Friday. Then there will just be nine weeks until summer vacation!!

*Rocks and Minerals Test
This week in math students will take a cumulative test that covers all of the major math standards that we have covered during the school year. Since we just took the unit test for fractions, fraction standards will not be included.
We will also begin our new unit on decimals this week. In fourth grade our work will focus on only the tenths and hundredths places. This week we will learn about the decimal places and how fractions and decimals are related.

This week in science we will begin learning about the phases of the moon. Please make sure your child is working on their Moon Calendar projects. Please use https://stardate.org/nightsky/moon to keep up with the phases of the moon. Students should use a pencil to shade out the part of the moon that we can not see. By the end of this week your child should be able to explain to you why they moon appears to change shape through out the month.
Monday: Math i-Ready-40 minutes, Teacher Assigned Lesson: Find Equivalent Fractions at least one lesson from student path FSA Practice Sheets Pages 9 and 10 (due Friday). Get PMA 3 Report signed (due Friday).
Tuesday: Math Complete sheet on decimals.
Wednesday: Science Digital Lesson Unit 3 Lesson 2: How Does Earth Move In Space
Thursday Science Digital Lesson Unit 3 Lesson 3 What Are Moon Phases
Friday i-Ready, FSA Practice and Science Digital Lesson due
